i THE EEL GROUND BAND OF INDIANS BY-LAW NO. 3 Being a by-law respecting the." disposal of garbage and waste. (amends By-law No. 2) WHEREAS paragraph (a) and (r) of Section 81 of the Indian Act empower the Council of an Indian Band to mS.ke by-laws to provide for the health of residents on the reserve and to prevent the spreading of contagious and infectious diseases and the imposition of a fine for violation of any by-laws made under that section; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Eel Ground of Indians did enact By-law number 2 respecting the disposal of garbage and waste. AND WHEREAS the said Council deems it to be expedient and in the best interest of the residents of the Eel Ground Indian Reserve to amend the said by-lav/; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Eel Ground Band of Indians enacts as a * by-law thereof as follows^ 1. By-law No. 2 be and the same is hereby amended by the deleting the sum of"$2.00" in the last line thereof and inserting in lieu thereof the sum "$3.00", so that the last paragraph of the.by-law shall read The Council of the Eel Ground Band will arrange for the regular removal of garbage and waste at the cost to;the householder of $3.00 (three dollars) per month.
