HIAWATHA FOR HEADQUARTERS USE ONLY CO UNCIL OF THE BAND AGENCY KINGSTON PR OVINCE ONTARIO P L A C E Hiawatha Reserve d a t k Twenty-Third June AD 19 1971 D A Y MONTH YEA R DO H E RE BY R ESO LVE : The Council of the Hiawatha Band of Indians at a meeting held on June 23rd, 1971, makes the following By-Law pursuant to paragraph (a) and (r) of Section SO of the Indian Act. By-Law Mo. ly A by-law to provide for the disposal of garbage and waste on the Hiawatha Indian Reserve in the Province of Ontario. (a) No person shall accumulate or permit to be accumulated upon lands in his possession or deposit or accumulate on the lands in possession of another person anything which is or may become offensive or injurious to health. (b) This is to also apply on band owed land, right-of-ways and leased property. / (c) All garbage is to be taken off the reserve regularly and there is a Township Dump available for this purpose. (d) Any person, whether reserve resident or not, who violates any of the provisions of this by-law shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding TwentyFive Dollars or imprisonment lor a term not exceeding seven days or both fine and imprisonment.
