EAGLE LAKE BAND BY-LAW NO. 8-84 (1) This By-law may be cited as The Gas and Solvent Sniffing By-Law. (2) This By-law is made pursuant to paragraph (a), (c) , (d) and (q) of Section 81 of the Indian Act. (3) In this By-Law: (1) "Noxious substance" means any harmful or injurious substance, whether liquid, solid, or gaseous. (2) "Sniffing" means to take into ones system throught the action of inhaling. % (4) Every one who: -.--Cl) ingests or sniffs any solvent, gasoline, magic marker, hair spray or other noxious or volatile substance or; (2) supplies, administers or causes to be administered to any person for the purpose of sniffing or ingestion a solvent, gasoline, magic marker, hair spray or other noxious or volatile substance; (5) Violators of this By-law shall be guilty of an offense and shall be liable on Summary Conviction to a fine not exceeding $100.00 or to imprisonment not exceeding 30 days or to both fine and imprisonment.
