Box 1319 Chapleau, Ontario OAlA POM 1 KO T R A F F I C B Y - L A W The Brunswick House Band Traffic By-Law Whereas, Sections 81 (1) (b), (c), (q) and (r) of the Indian Act empowers the Council of a Band to make by-laws for the regulation of traffic, any ancillary matters and the imposition of a penalty for the Violation of the by-law; NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the Brunswick House Band enacts as a by-law as follows: 1. No person shall operate any vehicle in excess of 25km/hr in the residential area of the Brunswick House Reserve # 76B, commonly known as Duck Lake. 2. No person shall operate any vehicle in a manner dangerous to public safety or to propery, in the residential area of the Brunswick House Reserve # 76B, commonly known as Duck Lake. 3. Any person who is suspected of breaking this by-law may be given a warning by the police. 4. Any person who violates this by-law is guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction; a) for a first: offence, to a prohibition from driving on Brunswick House Reserve # 76JB, for a period of up to three months ; and b) for a subsequent offence, a fine of up to $500.00 or imprisonment of up to 15 days or both.
