Box 1319 Chapleau, Ontario (QtSsdk 'T K e ^ \ POM 1K0 H O U S I N G B Y - L A W The Brunswick House Band Housing By-Law Whereas: Sections 81 (1), (c), (d), (h), (q), and (r) empowers the Band to make certain By-Laws and provides for the violation of the By-Laws. NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the Brunswick House Band enacts as a By-Law as follows; 1) The Chief and Council shall establish a housing policy for the Band which will determine priorities for housing on reserve. 2) The Chief and Council shall, in accordance with the housing policy, decide who has the right to occupy a house on the reserve, and may attach conditions on the right of occupancy. 3) The conditions which may be attached to the right of occupancy of a house may include: a) The length of time of occupancy b) Who has the right to occupy the house; and c) Any amount to be paid by the occupant to the Band for the right of occupancy. 4) No person shall; a) Disturb the lawful occupancy of a house; b) Threaten the occupants of a house with violence; c) Do any act or say anything calculated to make the lawful occupants of a house give up possession of that house; or d) Destroy or damage any house.

Box 1319 Chapleau, Ontario POM 1K0 Housing By-Law cont.... 5) Any person who violates Section 4 shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $500.00 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both, for the first offence, and a fine not exceeding $ 1000.00 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 30 days, or both for the second offence.
