moTtôrt *7fc SQUAMISH INDIAN BAND COUNCIL SIGNAGE CONTROL AMENDMENT BYLAW NO. 1,2009 A Bylaw to Regulate Signage with Certain Squamish Lands WHEREAS: A. The Band Council of the Squamish Indian Band enacted Squamish Nation Signage Control Bylaw No. 1, 2006 (the “Signage Bylaw”) to regulate signage on some of the Nation’s lands; B. The Band Council of the Squamish Indian Band wishes to have additional Reserve lands be subject to the Signage Bylaw through an amendment to the Signage Bylaw. NOW THEREFORE the Band Council of the Squamish Indian Band at a duly convened meeting of the Band Council assembled on the 25th day of September, 2009, hereby enacts, pursuant to section 81(1) of the Indian Act, R.S.C. 1985, Chapter 1-5, as a Bylaw the following: 1. Squamish Nation Signage Control Bylaw No. 1, 2006, is hereby amended by deleting Schedules A to G and replacing the definition of “Signage Control Zone” in section 1, with the following: “Signage Control Zone” means all tracts of lands, the legal title to which is vested in Her Majesty, that have been set apart by Her Majesty for the use and benefit of the Squamish Indian Band, other than the lands described as: Lot A (Reference Plan 8491) Block 4 Capilano Indian Reserve No. 5 Plan 10731, Block 4 except part in Reference Plan 8491 Capilano Indian Reserve No. 5 Group 1 NWD Plan 10731 Block 5 excpet part in Reference Plan 7660 Capilano Indian Reserve No. 5 Plan 10731, and Lot A (Reference Plan 7660) Block 5 Capilano OIndian Reserve No. 5 Pain 10731;” 2. If, and to the extent only that, there is any conflict between any provision of this Bylaw and any provision or provisions of Squamish Nation Signage Control Bylaw No. 1, 2006, the provision or provisions of this Bylaw shall govern. 3. This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as Squamish Indian Band Council Signage Control Amendment Bylaw No. 1, 2009.
