The Council of the Algonquins of Golden Lake at its meeting on the 12th day of October________1993, hereby makes the following law, consistent with the provisions of Paragraphs (b), (c), (d), (m), (q) and (r) of Section 81 of the Indian Act 1. The maximum rate of speed o f motor vehicles permitted on roads within the Golden Lake Reserve shall be as follows: a) The maximum rate of speed on the following roads shall be forty (40) kilometers per hour: Chigagom Road (Dam Road), from Mishomis Road to the dam; Mishewe Road (Dump Road), from Mishomis Road to the landfill site; Nopoming Road, from Mishomis Road to Kokomis Road; Ininatgig Road (Old Railroad line), from the southeast boundary of South Algona Township to the northwest boundary of South Algona Township; Pangishimo Road (Trailer Park Road), from Chibekana Road to Sunset Trailer Park; Pakwanagemag Road, from Kokomis Road to the Makwa Community Centre; Kiwita Road, from Pakwanagemag Road to Pakwanagemag Road; Kagagimin Road, from Pakwanagemag Road to Kokomis Road; Chibekana Road (Church Road), from Kokomis Road to the church.
b) The maximum rate of speed on the following roads shall be fifty (50) kilometers per hour: Kokomis Road, from the boundary of North Algona Township to the boundary of South Algona Township; Mishomis Road, from Kokomis Road to the boundary of South Algona Township; 2. A person who drives a motor vehicle on any road mentioned in Section 1 o f this law at a rate of speed greater than the maximum provided for in that section is guilty of an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of not more than five hundred dollars. 3. This lay may be enforced by officers of the Ontario Provincial Police and by such persons as are appointed by resolution of the Council of the Algonquins of Golden Lake. 4. Signs indicating the speed limits set in Section 1 of this law may be posted.
