* I KfJAnKEvVLTH IKDIAK AGENCY QüàTSINO BAND BY LAWS The council o f the Quatsino Band o f Indians at a meeting held tlarch 5, 1954- makes the following tylaws pursuant to paragraph ( l ) and (r ) o f section 80 o f the Indian A ct. * \ Bylaw Ho. 1 '■ A bylaw to provide fo r the regulation o f the use o f public w ells , c istern s, reservoirs and other water supplies. (a) Ko person shall w ilfu lly or m aliciously pollute any public w e ll, c is tern , reservoir or other water supply within the Quatsino Indian Reserve, in the Province o f B ritish Columbia. (b) Ko person shall destroy or injure any public w ell, c istern , reservoir or other water supply within the reserve. (c ) The holder o f a ce r t ifica te o f possession or occupant o f land within the reserve shall keep any well thereon properly enclosed or covered. (d) Any person who v iolates any o f the provisions o f this bylaw shall be gu ilty o f an offence and shall be lia b le on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding ten dollars or imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven days, or both fine and imprisonment.
