i f* Kv/AVIKEWLTH INDIAN AGENCY n QUA.T3r.:o band byiav/3 The Council o f tke Quatsino Band o f Indians at a meeting held on March 5} 1954- makes the following "bylaw pursuant to paragraph a) and (r ) o f section 80 o f the Indian A ct. Bylaw Ko. 3 A bylaw to provide for the erection and control o f t o i le t s or priv ies on the Quatsino Indian Reserve, in the Province o f B ritish Columbia. (a) The holder o f a ce rt ifica te of possession or occupant o f every building or structure used as a dwelling or a place o f business within the Quatsino Indian Reserve sha ll provide a t o i le t or privey fo r the use o f persons occupying or resox*ting to such building or structure. (b) Every t o i le t or privy shall be not less than 50 fe e t from any well or water supply. (c ) Such t o i le t or privy shall be o f f ly proof construction and sha ll be provided with a tight f it t in g door which shall be kept closed . (a) A ll to ile t s or privies shall be kept in a clean and sanitary condition. (e) The council ray arrange for the regular removal o f night s o il from ary prso*ses within the reserve. I (h) Any person who violates any o f the provisions o f this i by-law shall ;be gu ilty of an offence and shall be lia b le on sumary conviction to a fin e not exceeding ten dollars or imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven days, or both fine and imprisonment.
