The Council of the Penticton Band of Indiana at a meeting held March 1» 1972 do hereby stake the following By-law, pursuant to Paragraphs (f) and (1) of Section 81 of the Indian Act: BY-LAW No. 1 A By-law to provide funds to naintain Band-owned Domestic Water Systems in Penticton Indian Reserve, Kootenay-Okanagan District in the Province of British Columbia. 1. The following water rates shall be paid to the Council, and accounts shall be payable at the Band Office. (a) By a user, who is a member of the Band, for residential purposes, $20.00 yearly. (b) By a user, other than Band members, for the purpose of or in connection with, a residence or cottage site, $20.00 yearly in advance, (c) BY » user, for the purpose of, or in connection with, any business or commercial enterprise, a rate shall be determined by the Band Council and confirmed by Band Council Resolution. (d) Rates will be subject to change. 2. No user shall waste water or permit water conveyed to his premises from the waterworks system to be wasted. 3. Every user shall be responsible for the repair and maintain- ance of, and shall keep repaired and maintained, all fittings pipes, taps and plumbing fixtures installed in, around and under hi3 premises. c 4. The Chief and Band Council, through the Administrator or an official appointed by Council, shall control the usage of water from the waterworks system for the purpose of lawn and garden watering. 5. All users fees, charges and rates collected pursuant to this By-law shall, when required, be expended by the Chief and Band Council and Band Administrator for the expansion, maintenance and repair of the waterworks system.
