Tho Council of tho Gitlakctami x_______________ Band of Indians at a meeting held _ p Q June 26f 1Q5^ , _____________ makes the following bylaw pursuant to paragraph (n) and (r) of section 80, and paragraph (a) (i) of subsection one of section 82 of The Indian Act. /Bylaw No,_seven A bylaw to provide for tho regulation of tho conduct and activities of hawkers, peddlers or others who enter the Gitlakdami x ________________ _ Indian Reserve in the Fro vin ce of British_____ Columbia_________ ; to buy or sell or otherwise deal in wares or merchandise and the charging of a licence feo therefor, (a) Hawkers, peddlers and others carrying on petty trades, or who otherwise deal ; in ware i s or merchandise, who go from place to place or to other men's houses on foot or with any animal or bicycle, motor cycle, automobile or other vehicle bearing or drav/ing any goods,. wares or merchandise for sale shall before doing business within tho reserve take out a licence and pay a fee of 0,00 dollars therefor to the ..Gitla kriami x .nQUjm.il__________> which ! licence shall' not be transferable and shall expire at the end of the then fiscal (or calendar) year and may be renewed from year to year upon the; payment of the required fee. The term "hawkers, : peddlers, and I others" shall, in addition, extend to and include any transient per son who solicits or takes orders for hardware, groceries, dry goods, clothing, proprietary medicines, small goods, or enlarged photogrnnhs from a customer for future delivery, : I (b) No licence shall be required by a member of the band under this bylaw, (c) • Any person who violates any of the provisions of this bylaw shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary convic tion to a fine not exceeding ten dollars or imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven days, or both fine and imprisonment, ÿl Jljusftc
