The Council of tho Port Simpson________ Ennd of Indians at a meeting hold .. Kproh 1.0th, 1955_________ .________ _ makes tho following bylaw pursuant to paragraph (a) and (r) of section CO of Tho Indian Act; Bylaw No, ^ A bylaw to provide for the oroction and control of toilets' or privies on tho Simpson Indian Reserve, in tho Pro-yJjjqq British Coluitibifl (a) The holder of a certificate of possession or occupant of * every building or structure used as a dwelling or a place of business within tho Port Simpson _____ Indian Reserve shall provide a toilet or privy for the use of persons occupying or resorting to such building or structure, (b) Every toilet or privy shall be not less than sixty feet from any well -or water supply, ... (c) Such toilot or privy shall be of fly proof construction and shall be provided with a tight fitting door which shall bo kept closed, (d) All toilets or privies shall be kept in a clean and sanitary condition, (e) The council may arrange for the regular removal of night- soil from any promises within the reserve, (f) Night-soil from privies kept on premises pending removal there-- from shall be kept in a water tight, fly proof covered container, (g) Night-coil removed from premises within the reserve shall be taken to and deposited at a place within tho reserve approved by tho council. (h) Any person who violates any of-the provisions of this bylaw shall be;;guilty of an offence and shall bo liable on summary convic- tion to a fino not exceeding ten dollars or imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven days, or both fine and imprisonment. 256
