WP ;_ _ 45-_a7-01_____________ Being A BY-LAW to regulate the Activities and conduct of Non-Band Members and of Non-Indians who reside on the Sarnia Indian Reserve No. 45. WHEREAS Sections B1 (C) ( D ) and (P) (PI) (P2) (R) of the Indian Act - empowers the Chippewas of Sarnia Band of Indians to make BY-LAWS, For the Observance of Law and Order, any matter ancillary thereto and the impositions of a penalty of the violation thereof. WHEREAS it is believed necessary to enact a BY-LAW to provide for the Regulation of the Activities and Conduct of the Non-Band M 45 e . mbers and Non-Indians who reside on the Sarnia Indian Reserve No. NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Chippewas of Sarnia Band of Indians No. 45 makes a BY-LAW, therefore, as follows: 1. IN THIS BY-LAW (A) "A Non-Band Member and Mon-Indian" means a person or persons residing on the Sarnia Indian Reserve 0 45, by Permit as issued by the Chippewas of Sarnia Band Council for "residing Purposes" only; v " e R s E t S e E d R VE i " n M h e e a r n s M aj t e h s a t t y , T ra T c h t a t o f h a l s a n b d e e t n h e S e L t e g A a p l a r T t i t b l y e H t e o r w M h a i j c e h s t i y s for the Use and Benefit of the Chippewas of Sarnia Band of Indians and known as the Sarnia Indian Reserve No. 45; 2. No person or persons not being Band Members of the Sarnia Indian Reserve No. 45 shall in any manner whatsoever disturb the order of solemnity of the Sarnia Chippewa Band of Indians and the Chippewas of Sarnia Band Council; 3. (A) No person or persons shall remove, deface, destroy or damage, mutilate, or in any manner whatsoever vandalise public property on the Reserve or attempt to vandalize such public or private property; (B) Individuals covered by this BY-LAW shall not carry on a b t u h s e i n a e p s p s r , o v c a o l n t o r f a r B y a n t d o C S o e u c n t c i i o l n . 81 (N) of the Indian Act; without (C) No person or persons covered by this BY-LAW shall not carry on a business of or cause to carry on business of an Auto Wrecking Yard or Scrap Yard; without the approval of Band Council.

(D) All person or persons covered by this BY-LAW shall keep all Private Properties from which they reside in a neat and tidy fashion; 4. All individuals who violate any of the provisions of this BY­ LAW shall be guilty of an offence, shall be liable on Summary Conviction to a fine not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars or imprisonment for a term not exceeding Ninety (90) days or to both fine and imprisonment; 5. Council has the right to revoke permit if not abiding by this BY-LAW and the person would have to vacate the reserve immediately. 6. T C h o i u s n c B i Y l -. LAW can be amended at any time by approval of Band APPROVED AND PASSED AT A DULY CONVENED MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OP THE CHIPPEWAS OF SARNIA BAND OP INDIANS THIS 3RD DAY 07 MARCH, 1997.
