"CERTIFIED" /7 THE GITSE6UKLA BAND OF INDIANS BY-LAW NUMBER 90-5 Being A By-Law Respecting Disorderly Conduct And Nuisances WHEREAS paragraph (d) of Scetion 81 of the Indian Act empowers the Council to make a by-law respecting disorderly conduct and nuisances and the imposition of a fine for violation of any by-law made under that section. AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient for the peace and the welfare of the inhabitants of the village and for the protection of private and public property to control vandalism. AND THEREFORE the Gitsegukla Band Council enacts as a by-law the following: No person shall destroy or deface 1. public signs 2. barricades erected with the authority of the Band Council 3. public or private buildings 4. street lights, traffic lights 5. public or private equipment 6. safety equipment 7. water supply and services No person shall set a false fire alarm. ANY PERSON who violates any provision of this by-law shall be quilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine in relation to the damages incurred or imprisonment for a term not exceeding both a fine and imprisonment or, a period of community service.
