FORT NELSON BAND OF INDIANS BY-LAW # 2 BAND REVENUE BUDGET BY-LAW 1981 - 82 WHEREAS The Fort Nelson Band of Indians have authority to manage, control and expend Band revenue monies pursuant to P.C. 1971/1078 dated June 8, 1971, and WHEREAS the "Management Procedures By-Law No. 1" adopted by the Band and the Band Council establishes procedures and responsibilities and directs the manner in which the financial and other affairs of the Band shall be administered. The Council of the Fort Nelson Band enacts as follows : (1) The annual budget of receipts and expenditures as set out in Schedule "A" attached and made a part of this By-Law is approved. (2) An expenditure program or item of expenditure may only be varied or added by Band Council Resolution when sufficient funds are available for the purpose intended. (3) A person who violates any portion or section of this By-Law shall be deemed to have committed an offense against this By-Law and shall upon being found guilty under summary conviction shall be liable to a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars or imprisonment for a term not exceeding thirty days or both.
(4) This By-Law shall be hereafter cited as the Fort Nelson Revenue Budget By-Law 1981-82 No. 2. This By-Law was received by the Council of the Fort Nelson Band of Indians at a duly convened Council meeting held October 21, 1981 and was discussed at a meeting of the members of the Fort Nelson Band, held November 5, 1981 (copy of the notice is herewith attached as Schedule "B") and a resolution of a majority of the electors present endorsed the proposed budget and By-Law, and The By-Law herein was reconsidered and approved by resolution at a duly convened meeting of the Council of the Fort Nelson Band held on November 5, 1981 .
