BOX 5 8 8 CHASE, B.C, VOE 1 MO PHONE 679-8841 Mans Lake Indian Band BY - LAW NO. 1992/93 - 3 A by - law To Bring Section 10(3) of the Indian Act into effect in respect of the Band WHEREAS the Council ["Council"] of the Adams Lake Indian Band ["Band"] wishes to enable every member of the band who is of the full age of eighteen (18) years to participate in decisions respecting the content and passage of Membership Rules of the Band; and WHEREAS section 81(1)(p.4) of the Indian Act. R.S.C. 1985, c. I- 5["Act"] authorizes the Band to pass a bylaw which enables all Band members of the full age of eighteen(lS) years to give their consent to the adoption of the Membership Rules of the Band in accordance with section 10(3) of the Act; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Band hereby enacts this bylaw: 1. The consents of Adams Lake Band members require under subsections 10(1) and 10(2) of the Act respecting Band control over membership and establishment of Membership Rules, respectively, shall be given by a majority of the members of the Band who are of the full age of eighteen (18) years.
