The Council of the Columbia Lake fend of Indiana at a raeefcing held June 29, 1973 at Columbia Lake Reserve shakes the following by-Law pursuant to paragraph (e) section 81 of the Indian Act. By-Law No. 2 A by-Law to provide for the protection against and prevention of trespass by cattle and other domestic animals on the Columbia Lake Indian Reserve. 1. ho person shall permit any livestock and domestic animal to run at large on the Columbia Lake Indian Reserve without the consent of the Columbia Lake Band Council, any such animals will be subject to impoundment. 2. Anyone finding any animal running at large contrary to the Provisions of Section 1 shall deliver them to a place so designated by the Band Council whether the name and address of the owner is known or not, 3. The Band Council will post notice of the impounding of any animal or if the owner is known, will notify the owner in writing vdthiri t’.vo days of impounding. 4. Before releasing any animal from the pound the owner will be required to pay to the Columbia Lake Band a fee of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) as well as any damage costs and maintenance of One Dollar ($1.00) per day. 5. Vfnen an animal has net been redeemed from the pound within twenty days after notice of impoundment has been given the said animal shall be sold. 6. The proceeds of the sale of any such animal shall be paid to the owner after the deduction of the fees and charges ovdng or if animal has not been claimed, to the credit of the Columbia Lake Band, Signed: Columbia Lake Band Council ''Wilfred 7*0 ^ 0 0 50 "Alfred Joseph" "Kathryn Teneesa"
