AMENDING BY-LAW Council of the Crane River Band of Indians hereby enacts by-law number 5 to amend by law number 4. Whereas the Council of the Crane River Band of Indians did enact by-law number 4 on the 23 day of September, 1986 pursuant (b) and (r) of Sec. 81 of the Indian Act to regulate traffic and, Whereas the said Council deems it to be expedient and in the best interests of the residents of the Crane River Indian Reserve to amend the said by-law; Now therefore the Council of the Crane River Band of Indians enacts as a by-law thereof as follows: 1. Section 2(1) of by-law 4 be and the same is hereby amended by deleting the words consistent in the third line thereof and inserting lieu thereof the word inconsistent so that the said section shall read: 2(1) The highway Traffic Act of the Province of Manitoba RS 1970 including the definitions therein and amendments thereof, except as the same may be inconsistent with this by-law in- \ eluding its definitions, shall apply to all roads, vehicles and persons within the Reserve, and further, all drivers or operators of any such vehicles must possess a valid Province of Manitoba drivers licence. 2. Section 3 of by-law 4 be and the same is hereby amended by deleting the numerals ,,70,,in the first line thereof and inserting in lieu thereof the numerals ,,90l,and further by deleting the words "The said 70 kilometers on hour zones are shown on the attached map marked (Schedule A) in Blue." so that t V h e said section shall read: 3. No person shall operate a vehicle at the rate of speed in excess of 90 kilraeters an hour within the Reserve and signs to this effect shall be erected, unless otherwise posted. Approved and passed at a duly convened meeting of the Council of the Crane River Band of Indians this 18th day of November, 1986.
