/r, /f7C-The God's Lake Band of Indians By Lav; *+ Being a by-law providing for the regulation of the a c t iv it ie s of a ll persons on the God's Lako Indian Reserve. WHEREAS paragraphs ( c ) , ( d ) , (q) and (r ) of Section 8l o f the Indian Act empower the Council o f an Indian Band to make by-laws respecting law and order, the prevention of d isord erly conduct and nuisances, and the imposition of a penalty fo r the v io la tion thereof AND WHEREAS it is deemed to be expedient to regu'Bate the a c t iv it ie s of a ll persons on the God's Lake Indian Reserve^ NOW THEREFORE the Council of the God's Lake Band o f Indians enacts as a by-law thereof the follow ing:. 1. In th is by-law: (a) -'Council" means the Council, as defined i.n the Indian Act, of the God's Lake Band of Indians. (b) "Reserve" means the tract of land set apart by Her Majesty within the d e fin it ion in the Indian Act l?or the use and benefit of the God's Lake Band of Indians». (c ) "Person" means any individual or group clT individuals regardless o f age. 2. No person on th God's Lake Indian Reserve shiall lo ite r any place within the said Indian Reserve a fter tw elve midnight. 3. No person on the God's Lake Indian Reserve; s n a il be in any place of entertainment, s tree t , lane, by-way or common within the said Reserve, or shall be in the course; o f returning from any place of entertainment o ff. the said Ho.-erve a fte r the hour twelve midnight. H. Any person on the God's Lake Indian Reserve; Hound v io la tin g the provisions of paragraphs (2) & (3) shall be qu ilty o f an offense and shall be lia b le on summary con v iction to a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars or .Lm-.prisonment fo r a term not exceeding th irty days or both f in and imprison­ ment for v io la tion of a by-law made under ih.is section .
