S O A - /- c :/ 7 3 < //~?S POUNDMAKER BAND COUNCIL BY-LAW The council of the Poundmaker Band of Indians at a meeting held on the Poundmaker Reserve makes the following by-law under section 81, sub-sections (a), (b), (c) and (d), of the Indian Act. BY-LAW No. 3A By-law No. 3 dated January 10, 1971 and By-law No. 9 dated May 29, 1972, be and the same are hereby repealed. A By-law for the better lav/ and order on the Poundraaker Indian Reserve. (a) No parent or guardian shall allow his or her children under the age of sixteen (16) years to be at large on the Reserve after 9:30 p.m. for the months of October, November, December, January, February, March and April, and after 10:30 p.m. in all other months. (b) In the event that children under 16 years are at large on the Reserve after the above said times in the evening while unaccompanied by a parent or guardian, such parent or guardian shall be guilty of an offence under this By-law and shall be responsible for ary damage, vandalism, nuisance etc., which might be occasioned as a result of the inadequate supervision of their children after these hours. (c) No person or group of persons shall have a social activity, dance, public display or other function to which the public is invited without first obtaining permission in writing from the Band Council. If the Band Council is requested to do so by the applicant or applicants and if it deems it necessary the Band Council may appoint special constables to attend at such functions to keep the peace. (a) Any person violating this By-law shall be subject on summary convic­ tion to a fine not exceeding ONE HUNDRED ($100.00) dollars or imprisonment for a term not exceeding thirty (30) days or both fine and imprisonment.
