BY-LAW # 10 Notice is hereby given that the Council of the MicMacs of Maria Band at a meeting held January 9th 1986. Make the following by-law pursu- ent to Section 81 of the Indian Act as amended. Article 1 that all loans secured through Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation by the MicMacs of Maria BAnd Council for the benefit of its band members are subject for repayment by the tenants occupying the said houses. Article 2 that the MicMacs Housing Corporation will under the control of the MicMacs of Maria Band Council. Article 3 that all housong units constructed for band members as per article 1 will remain the property of the band until such time the mortgage payments are terminated. Article 4 that band members will not be allowed to transfer payments or exchange these units without the consent of the band council. Article5 that the MicMacs of Maria Band Council being responsible body for the function of the Housing Corporation will collect rents in any way available to itself, rather than evict any band member from the housing unit. Article 6 that all arrears in housing payments will be subject to special by-law # 9 for collection purposes for fiscal year 85-86.
