WOODLAND CREE FIRST NATION #474 A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE PROVISION OF PROVINCIAL E-911 SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED TO THE WOODLAND CREE FIRST NATION #474. WHEREAS the Chief and Council o f the Woodland Cree First Nation is empowered to make a by-law governing the health of residents and any matter ancillary thereto pursuant to paragraphs 81(1) (a),(q) and (r) o f the Indian Act : WHEREAS the Chief and Council o f the Woodland Cree First Nation #474 wishes to provide Provincial E-911 service within the Woodland Cree First Nation #474 and enter into agreements with other agencies and/or municipalities to provide such service; NOW THEREFORE the Chief and Council o f the Woodland Cree First Nation duly assembled enacts as a by-law as follows: 1. The Woodland Cree First Nation will enter into an agreement with Telus Communications Inc. to provide access to emergency services via its Provincial E-911 service. 2. The Woodland Cree First Nation will enter into an agreement with the Peace Regional Emergency Medical Services Board (PREMS) to provide the E-911 Call Answer Services. 3. The Woodland Cree First Nation will enter into an agreement with Telus Communications Inc. in order that Telus will act as a billing and collecting agent for the Call Answer Service. 4. A customer within the Woodland Cree First Nation #474 who subscribes to Telus’ Exchange Service will be provided with the E-9i I service and be required to pay fees for said service.
