The Council of the Saddle Lake Band of Indians at a meeting held this ?8 day of June_______ , 1966, makes the following by-law pursuant to paragraph (b) and paragraph (r) of Section 80 of the Indian Act. Bv-Law No. 4 A A by-law to provide for the regulation of traffic in the Saddle Lake Indian Reserve No. 125, Cache Lake Indian Reserve No. 125A, and VJhitefish Lake Indian Reserve No. 123 in the Province of Alberta. 1. ' In this by-law (a) "closed road" means any road on the Reserves or any part of any road on the Reserves designated in writing by the Council as a closed road for the purpose of this by-law; (b) "Council" means the Amalgamated Council of the Saddle Lake Band of Indians; (c) "improved road" means any road in the Reserves designated in writing by the Council a3 an improved road for the purposes of thi3 by-law; . (d) "Reserves" means Saddle Lake Indian Reserve No* 125, Cache Lake Indian Reserve No. 125A, and Nhitefish Lake Indian Reserve No. 128, in the Province of Alberta; (e) "restricted class" means any class of vehicles designated in writing by the Council as a restricted class of vehicles for the purposes of this by-law; (f) "residential area" means any area in the Reserves designated in writing by the Council as a residential area for the purposes of this by-law; (g) "school zone" means any zone in the Reserves designated in writing by the Council as a school zone for the purposes of this by-law; and (h) "unimproved road" means any road in the Reserves designated in writing by the Council as an unimproved road for the purposes of this by-law. 2. No vehicle shall be operated on any improved road at a rate of speed in excess of 50 miles an hour on the Saddle Lake Indian Reserve, No. 125, and Cache Lake Indian Reserve, Ko. 125A; and no vehicle shall be operated on any improved road on the V/hitefish Lake Indian Reserve No. 123, at a rate of speed in excess of 40 miles per hour. 3. No vehicle shall be operated on any unimproved road at a 4ft r ate of speed in excess of 40 miles an hour. 4. No vehicle shall be operated over any bridge v/ithin the Reserves at a rate of speed in excess of the speed designated and marked thereon by the Council. 2

Notwithstanding the provision3 of -action3 3, 11> and 5 of this by-lav (a) No vehicle gfoall to operated within any residential area at a rate of speed din excess of 30 ciilaa an hour. Residential areas to be designated by signs, (b) No vehicle shall be operated within any school zone at a rate of speed in excess of 20 miles an hour, (c) No vehicle of any restricted class shall be operated on any road or any bridge within the Reserves at a rata of speed in excess of the rate of 3peed designated and marked by the Council on such road or bridge for such restricted class of vehicle, 6, No vehicle shall be operated on aay closed road except by permission of the Council given in writing, or at the,direction of a police officer. 7, Any person who violates any of the provisions of this by-lav shall be guilty of an offence and shall be iabla on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $100, CO or imprisonment for a term not exceeding thirty days, or both fine and imprisonment, 8, With the coming into force of this By-law, Ry-lav No, U> made by the Council of Saddle lake Band on Nay 2, 1962, shall cease to be in effect. / ' / ' ' - r ̂ , ? < <.
