THE PAUL BAND OF INDIANS BY-LAW NUMBER 2A Being a By-law to amend By-law Number 2 providing for the observance of law and order and for the prevention of disorderly conduct and nuisance on the Paul Band Indian Reserve, in the Province of Alberta. WHEREAS the Council of the Paul Band of Indians did enact By-law Number 2 pursuant to Section 81 of the Indian Act on the 14th day of January, 1970; AND WHEREAS it is necessary to update the By-law to better achieve the purposes enumerated therein; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Paul Band of Indians pursuant to Section 81 of the Indian Act enacts as a By-law therefore as follows; 1. Section 1 is repealed and the following substituted; 1 In this By-law, "Reserve" means the Paul Band Indian Reserve. l(a.) No person shall have intoxicants in his possession, or be intoxicated on the Reserve. 2. Section 2 is amended by striking out "or near a public place" and substituting "the Reserve". 3. Section 3 is repealed and the following substituted: (3) No person shall openly expose or exhibit an indecent exhibition in the Reserve or commit any act in the Reserve which offends against the decency or order of the Band members.
- 2 -4. Section 4 is amended by striking out "a public place" and substituting "the Reserve". 5. Section 5 is amended by striking out "a public place" and substituting "the Reserve". Approved and passed at a duly convened meeting of the Paul Band Council the 13th day of October, 1982.
