St MARYS INDIAN BAND PROPERTY ASSESSMENT AMENDMENT LAW, 2008-03 V/H EREAS: A. The Chief and Council of the St. Marys Indian Band wish to amend the St. A!arvs Indian Band Property Assessnient Lmr, 2008 to provide for the remuneration of Assessment Review Board members that is consistent with provincial remuneration: and B. The Council of [lie St. Marys Indian Band vill request an exemption under subsections 6(2) and 8(2) of the Act from the Commission with respect to this amending law. NOW THEREFORE [he Council of St. Marys Indian Band duly enacts as follows: I. This Law may be cited as the St. Alans Indian Band Property Assessment Amendment Lou’, 200803. 2. Subsection 22.(l) of the Indian Ba,zI Proper/i Assessment Law, 2008 is deleted in its entirety and is replaced with the following: 22.( I) St. Mary s Indian Band must remunerate (a) the chair (or acting chair) at the rates established from time to time by the Province for a part-time chair of an administrative tribunal categorized as Group I, and (h) a member (or replacement member appointed to act) other than the chair, at the rates established from time to time by the Province for a part-time member of an administrative tribunal categorized as Group I. for time spent on activities related to the Assessment Review Board.” 3. This anicndinu law comes into force and effect on the day after it is approved by the First Nations Tax Commission. THIS LAW IS HEREBY DULY ENACTED by Council on thejttay of February. 2012, at Cranbrook. in the Province of British Columbia. A quorum of Council consists of three (3) members of Council.
