SODA CREEK INDIAN BAND BYLAW NO. 2004-TX01 WHEREAS pursuant to subsection 83(1) of the lndian Act, the Council of a Band may make bylaws for the purpose of taxation for local purposes of land, or interest in the land including rights to occupy, possess or use lands within the boundaries of the Reserve and with respect to any matters arising out of or ancillary to such purpose: AND WHEREAS the Council of the Soda Creek lndian Band enacted the Soda Creek Indian Band Taxation and Assessment Bylaw on December 2 3 , 1997; NOW BE iT RESOLVED that the foltowing bylaw be and is hereby enacted pursuant to the provisions of the lndian Act and in particular section 83(1) for the purpose of establishing annual rates of taxation. 1. This bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the Soda Creek Indian Band 2004 Rates Bylaw. 2. Pursuant to section 24 of the Soda Creek lndian Band Taxation Bylaw, the rates for each class of property shall be in accordance with Schedule " A which is attached, and forms part of the 2004 Rates Bylaw.
