Minister of Indian Affairs Ministre des Affaires and Northern Development indiennes et du Nord canadien Ottawa, Canada K1A OH4 I, the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, HEREBY APPROVE, pursuant to section 83 of the Indian Act, the following bylaw made by the Whispering Pines/Clinton Indian Band, in the Province of British Columbia, at a meeting held on the 281h day of June 2000 . Whispering Pines/Clinton Indian Band 2000 Rates Bylaw Dated at Ottawa, Ontario thi4~f~day of 2000 .
WHISPERING PINES / CLINTON INDIAN BAND 2000 RATES BYLAW WHEREAS pursuant to subsection 83(1)(a) of the-Indian Act the Council of a band may make bylaws for the purpose of taxation for local purposes of land, or interests in land, including rights to occupy, possess or use land in a reserve and with respect to any matters rising out of or ancillary to such purpose ; AND WHEREAS The Council of the Whispering Pines/Clinton First Nation, (also known as the Whispering Pines/Clinton Band) enacted the Whispering Pines / Clinton First Nation Property Taxation Bylaw on December 8, 1995 ; NOW BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the following bylaw be and is hereby enacted pursuant to the provisions of the Indian Act and in particular section (83)(1) for the purpose of establishing annual rates of taxation . 1 . This bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the Whispering Pines/Clinton Indian Band 2000 Rates Bylaw. 2 . Pursuant to Section 11 of the Whispering Pines / Clinton Indian Band Property Assessment and Taxation Bylaw No .l (1995), the tax rates for each class of property shall be in accordance with Schedule "A" which is attached, and forms part of the 2000 Rates Bylaw . APPROVED AND PASSED at a duly convened meeting of the Band Council of the Whispering Pines / Clinton Indian Band at the Whispering Pines/Clinton Indian Band Administration office, Whisperin ines IR#4, RR#1,Site 8,Comp #4, Kamloops,BC, V2B 8P6, this th day of "'-I yd'VF-- , 2000 . WHISPERING PINES / CLINTON INDIAN BAND 2000 RATES BYLAW Schedule "A" The Council of the Whispering Pines/Clinton Indian Band hereby adopt the following taxation rates for the 2000 taxation year for the following classes of property . COLUMN 1 Class of Property as prescribed Rate of Tax applied against each under Schedule II and Section 17 of $1000.00 of the assessed value of the Whispering Pines/Clinton Indian Band Property Assessment and determined in accordance with Part Taxation Bylaw No .l (1995) VII of the Whispering Pines/Clinton Indian Band Property Assessment and Class 1- Residential Class 2- Utilities Class 3- Unmanaged Forest Land Class 4- Major Industry Class 5- Light Industry , Class 6- Business and Other Class 7- Managed Forest Land Class 8- Recreational/Non- Profit Organization Class 9- Farm COLUMN 2 the land and improvements as Taxation Bylaw No . 1 (1995) Land & Improvements 7 .7585 26 .1079 23 .4464 23 .8596 20.0846 18 .3648 8 .6157 . 8 .1419 9 .2708
