No. : Ccq ' ozI (:)~J Motioner: Seconder : enact bylaws in respect WHEREAS section 83(1) of the Indian Act confirms the power ofthe Band Council to of the taxation for local purposes of reserve lands; ; Band pursuant to section 18 .1 of the Lower Nicola Indian Band Taxation Bylaw it is necessary for WHEREAS tax rate for each Council during each taxation year to enact a bylaw establishing, imposing and levying the separate property class within each separate taxation district. Council of the Lower Nicola Indian Band enacts as follows: OWTHEREFORE the Band annexed hereto (in section 2 . 'called the "schedule") is herebydeclared an integral part of this l . Schedule "II" bylaw. For the purposes of subsection 18 .1(3) and (4) of the LowerNicola Indian Band Property Taxation Bylaw 2 . namely there are hereby established, imposed and levied for the taxationyear 2002 the following tax rates, set out in Column 4 of the for each separate property class within each separate taxationdistrict the tax rate Schedule beside the property class set out in Column 3 of the Schedule. 3 . This bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the AnnualTax Rates Bylaw for the Taxation year 2002. Indian Affairs 4 .
