COOK'S FERRY INDIAN BAND BYLAW NO. 2001-TXOI WHEREAS pursuant to subsection 83(l) of the Indian Act, the council of a Band may make bylaws for the purpose of taxation for local purposes of land, or interest in land including the rights to occupy, possess or use lands within the boundaries of the Reserve and with respect to any matters arising out of or any ancillary to such purposes ; AND WHEREAS the council of the Cook's Ferry Indian Band enacted the Cooles Ferry Indian Band Taxation and Assessment Bylaw on June 23, 1993 . NOW BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the following bylaw be and is hereby enacted pursuant to the provisions of the Indian Act and in particular Section 83(l) for the purpose of establishing annual rates of taxation . 1 . This bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the Cook's Ferry Indian Band 2001 Rates Bylaw. 2 . Pursuant to Section 24 of the Cook's Ferry Indian Band Taxation Bylaw, the rates for each class of property shall be in accordance with Schedule "N' that is attached, and forms part ofthe 2001 Rates Bylaw. The council of the Cook's Ferry Indian Band at a duly convened meeting held on the -7 T~Wday Of 200 1, hereby enacts this bylaw .
