Taxation Amending By-law No. 1996-01 Dated at Ottawa, Ontario this 3rd day of February, 1997.
COOK'S FERRYMUN BAND TAXATION AMENDINGBY-LAW NO. 1996-01 WHEREAS the Cooles Ferry Indian Band passed the Cooles Ferry Indian Band Taxation By-Law which was duly approved by the Minister ofIndian Affairs pursuant to Section 83 ofthe Indian Act on June 23rd 1993 ; AND WHEREAS the Chiefand Council ofthe Cook's Ferry Indian Band deem it advisable to amend section 10(4) ofthe Cooles Ferry Indian Band Taxation By-Law to allow an extension for the 1996 taxation process ; NOW BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Chiefand Council ofthe Cook's Ferry Indian Band enacts the following amendment by-law for the purposes ofland and property taxation pursuant to section 83(l) of the Indian Act . 1 . Short Title This by-law may be cited as the Cooles Ferry Indian Band Taxation Amending By-Law No. 1996-01. 2. Section 10(4) ofthe Cooles Ferry Indian Band Taxation By-law is antending by deleting it and substituting it by the following: (4) For the 1996 taxation year, any dates, times or periods established under this by-law or the Cooles Ferry Indian Band Assessment By-law, shall be changed or extended up to 60 days to permit, enable and allow the effective and efficient implementation and administration ofthis by-law and the Cooles Ferry Indian Band Assessment By-Law.
