Bonaparte Indian Band Property Tag AmendmentBylaw No. 9, 2002 Whereas Bonaparte Indian Band Property Tax By-law was approved by Band Council on February 15 1993 and Bonaparte Indian Band Property TaxAmending By-law No. 1 1993 was approved by Band Council on August 25 1993 and Bonaparte Indian Band Property TaxAmending By-law No. 21994 was approved on June 1 1994 and all three Bylaws were consolidated as of this date ; And Whereas it is deemed expedient to amend these consolidated Bylaws to enable the B C Assessment Authority on behalf of the Band to annually mail a notice of assessment and where appropriate make alterations and amendments to facilitate preparation ofa supplementary roll ; NOWTHEREFORE the Band Council ofthe Bonaparte Indian Band enacts as follows: 1. This Bylaw may be cited as "Property Tax Amendment BylawNo. 9 2002". 2. In PART I (INTERPRETATION) Clause 2 (1) the further definition of "assessor" is added before theword "Band" to read : "assessor" means the assessor appointed as determined by the provisions ofthe AssessmentActofBritish Columbia and of the regulations under the Act. 3. In PART VII (ASSESSED VALUE) Clause 24 (1) and 25 the wording is amendedby substituting the word "assessor" for the words "tax administrator" . 4. In PART IX (ALTERATIONS ANDADDITIONS) Clauses 26,27 and 28 are amended by substituting the word "assessor" for the words "tax administrator". 5. This Bylaw shall come into force and effect immediately upon approval by the Minister of Indian Affairs andNorthern Development.
