CAMPBELL RIVERFIRSTNATION BYLAW NO. 2 CAMPBELL RIVER FIRST NATION RATES BYLAW WHEREAS pursuant to subsection 83(1)(a) ofthe Indian Act, R.S.C . 1985,c 1-5, the Council of a band may make bylaws for the purpose of taxation for local purposes of land, or interests in land, including rights to occupy, possess or use land in a reserve and with respect to any matters arising out of or ancillary to such purpose; AND WHEREAS the Council ofthe Campbell River First Nation (also known as the Campbell River Indian Band) enacted the Campbell River First Nation Property Assessment and Taxation Bylaw on June 11, 2002 ; NOW BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the following bylaw be and is hereby enacted pursuant to the provisions ofthe Indian Act, andmparticular section 83(l) for the purpose ofestablishing annual rates oftaxation. 1. This bylaw maybe cited for all purposes as the Campbell River First Nation 2003 Rates Bylaw. 2. Pursuant to Section 1 I ofthe Campbell River First Nation Property Assessment and Taxation Bylaw, the tax rates for each class ofproperty shall be in accordance with Schedule "A" which, is attached, and fomns partof the 2003 Rates Bylaw. This bylaw is hereby enacted by Council at a duly convened meeting held on the 22 day ofMay, 2003 19 `Chief
SCHEDULE AM The Council ofthe Campbell River First Nation hereby adopts the following taxation rates for the 2003 taxation year for the following classes ofproperty. COLUMN 1 Class ofProperty as prescribed under Schedule II and Section i i of the Campbell River First Nation Property Taxation Bylaw.
