By-Law No. 20004 NADLEH WHUT'EN INDIAN BAND No . 612 NADLEH WHUT'EN INDIAN BAND 2000 RATES BYLAW WHEREAS pursuant to subsection 83(l)(a) of the Indian Act, R.S .C . 1985, c. 1-5 the Council of a band may make bylaws for the purpose of taxation for local purposes of land, or interests in land, including rights to occupy, possess or use land in a reserve and with respect to any matters arising out of or ancillary to such purpose; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Nadleh Whut'en Indian Band, enacted the Nadleh Whut'en Indian Band Property Assessment and Taxation Bylaw on, December 18, 1998; NOW BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the following bylaw be and is hereby enacted pursuant to the provisions of the Indian Act and in particular section 83(1) for the purpose of establishing annual rates oftaxation . SHORT TITLE l . This bylaw may be cited as the Nadleh Whut'en Indian Band 2000 Rates Bylaw Amending Bylaw. PART I INPERPRETATION 2. Pursuant to Section 11 ofthe Nadleh Whut'en Indian Band Property Assessment and Taxation Bylaw, the tax rates for each class of property shall be in accordance with Schedule "A" which is attached and forms part of the 2000 Rates Bylaw. APPROVED AND PASSED at a duly convened meeting ofthe Band Council of the Nadleh Whut'en Indian Band held at the Nadleh Whut'en Indian Band Administration Office, this 23`d day of May, 2000.
