TOBACCO PLAINS INDIAN BAND BYLAW #2003-TX2 WHEREAS pursuant to subsection 83(1) of the Indian Act, the Council of a Band may make bylaws for the purpose oftaxation for local purposes ofland, or interest in land including the rights to occupy, possess or use lands within the boundaries of the Reserve and with respect to any matters arising out of any or any ancillary to such purpose: ANDWHEREAS The Council of the Tobacco Plains Indian Band enacted the Tobacco Plains Indian Band Taxation and Assessment by law on March 9, 1992 ; NOWBE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the following bylaw be and is hereby enacted pursuant to the provisions of the Indian Act and in particular to Section 83(1) for the purpose of establishing annual rates of taxation . 1 . This bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the Tobacco Plains Indian Band 2003 Rates Bylaw. 2. Pursuant to section 24 ofthe Tobacco Plains Indian Band Taxation Bylaw, the rates for each class of property shall be in accordance with "Schedule A" which is attached and forms part ofthe Bylaw.
