The Council of the LOWER SIMILKAMEEN INDIAN BAND Date of duly convened meeting I D-J 26 THE CHIEF AND COUNCIL OF THE LOWER SIMILKAMEEN INDIAN BAND DO HEREBY RESOLVE THAT: Lower Similkameen Indian Band WHEREAS pursuant to subsection 83(1) (a) of the Indian Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. 1-5 the Council of the band may make bylaws fo r the purpose of taxation for local purposes of the land or interest in land, including rights to OCCUPY. possess or use land in a reserve, and with respect to any matter arising out of ancillary to such a purpose; with the Lower Similkameell Indian Band Property Taxation By-law it is necessary for Band Council during each taxation year to enact a By- law establishing, imposing and levying the tax for each separate property class within each separate taxation district; AND WH EREAS the Council of the Lower Similkameen Indian Band enacted the Lower Similkameen indian Band Property Assessment Gnd Taxatioll By-law on August 28, 2002; NOW BE IT RESOLVED THAT TH E FOLLOWING Bylaw be and is hereby enacted pursuant to the provisions of the indian Act, and in parti cular section 83(1) fo r the purpose of establishing annual rates of taxation. I. This by-law nay be cited for all purposes as the Lower Similkameen Indian Band Tax Rates By-law No. 01.2010 2. Pursuant to Section II of the Lower Similkameen Indian Band Property Taxation By-law, the tax rate for each class of property shall be in accordance with the rate schedule attached as Schedule "A", which fonus part of the Allllual Tax Rates By-law No. 01.2010.
