CERTIFICATION Pursuant to Section 86, Indian Act RSC 1985 C .1-5 and amendments thereto, I certify that the attached copy of the Kwaw Kwaw Apilt First Nation bylaw No. 1-1999 respecting Exemption dated 20 July 1999 is a true copy of the said bylaw . I, the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, HEREBY APPROVE, pursuant to section 83 of the Indian Act, the following bylaw made by the Kwaw Kwaw Apilt First Nation, in the Province of British Columbia, at a meeting held on the 10`h day of May, 1999. Kwaw Kwaw Apilt First Nation Exemption Bylaw 1-1999 Dated at Ottawa, Ontario this o?0A.day of 1999 .
The Kwaw Kwaw Aplit First Nation in accordance with Part 3 of the Kwaw Kwaw Aplit Property Taxation Bylaw Amendment 1-1995 enacts the following bylaws : 1 . This bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the "Exemption Bylaw 1999" . a. Any person having property assessed by the head assessor pursuant to the Kwaw Kwaw Aplit First Nation Property Assessment Bylaw 1-1995 (the "Assessment Bylaw") as being in Class 5 (Light industry) or Class 6 (Business/Other) shall be exempt from the payment of taxes In an amount equivalent to the gross assessed value of improvement being $10,000 .00 less than as stated In the roll authenticated pursuant to the Assessment Bylaw . Approved by the Kwaw Kwaw Aplit First Nation, as presented by its duly elected Chief and Council this I&P4 day of May, 1999 A quorum of Band Council consists of three (3) duly elected Band Councillors .
