CERTIFIED TRUE COPY As per Section 86 of the Indian Act White Bear First NatidWA4 & TRUST " SERVICES 17atQ Band Council Resolution Motion Number: 2003-2004/16 Purpose : 2003 Tax Rates By-law Commercial & Industrial Date I May 8, 2003 That pursuant to a Resolution passe-ddatua lyconvened meeting ofthe Chief and Council ofthe White Bear First Nations ("White Bear") at the office ofWhite Bear on the 8`h day of May,2003 the Chiefand Council ofWhite Bear have authorized the following: Council of a band WHEREASPursuant to subsection 83(1)(a) ofthe Indian Act, R.S.C . 1985, c.1-5, the may make bylaws for the purpose oftaxation for local purposes of land, or interests inland, including rights to occupy, possess or use land in a reserve and with respect to any mattersrising out of or ancillary to such purpose; and , WHEREAS the Council ofthe White Bear First Nations enacted the White Bear FirstNations Property Assessment and Taxation Bylaw on April 23, 1998; and Council has caused an assessment to be made of all property shown on the assessmentroll WHEREASthe for 2002 ; and to the NOW BE IT THEREBY RESOLVED that the following bylaw be and is hereby enactedpursuant provisions ofthe Indian Act and in particular section 83(1) for the purpose ofestablishing annual rates of taxation. 1 . This bylawmay be cited for all purposes as the White Bear FirstNations 2003 TaxRates Bylaw. Taxation 2. Pursuant to section 11 ofthe White Bear First Nations PropertyAssessment and rates for each class of property shall be in accordance with Schedule "A" Bylaw, the tax which is attached.
