RA TES BY-LAW 2021

WHEREAS pursuant to the Indian Act, R.S.C. 1985. and specifically paragraph 83(1)(a) of the Indian Act, 1985, c.1-5. the Council ofa band may make by-laws for the purpose ofta.'<ation for local purposes of land. or interests in land, including rights to occupy, possess or use land in a reserve and with respect to any maners arising out of or ancillary to such purpose:

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Whitefish Lake First Nation (also known as the Whitefish Lake Band) enacted the Whitefish lake First Nation Propertv Ttix 81·-low on December 4. I 998 and npproved by the Minister on I cl.,1 U41 y lJ. I lJIJ'J;

NOW BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the following by-law be and is hereby enacted pursuant lo the provisions of the Indian Ad. and in particular section 83( I) for the purpose of establishing annual rates of taxation.

I. This by-law may be cited for all purposes as the Whil~fish lake First Nation Rates By-luw 202/.

Pursuant to Section 5.1 of the Whitefish Lake First Nation Proper~r Tax 8)'-lmr. the tax rates

2. for each class of property shall be in accordance with Schedule "A" which is anached, and fonns part of the 2021 Rates By-law.
