THE MOHAWKS OF THE BAY OF QUINTE FIRST NATION BY-LAW NO. 95 - 1 Being a by-law: to repeal By-law No. 2 dated September 27, 1952 for the protection against and prevention of trespass by cattle and other domestic animals; and to repeal by-law No. 5 dated July 6, 1960 to provide for the regulation of hawkers, pedlars, and others; WHEREAS the Tyendinaga Mohawk Council did enact the two above recited by-laws; AND WHEREAS the Tyendinaga Mohawk Council is of the opinion that such by-laws are not required at this time; NOW THEREFORE, the Tyendinaga Mohawk Council enacts as a by-law the following: 1. By-law No. 2 dated September 27, 1952 for the protection against and prevention of trespass by cattle and other domestic animals is hereby repealed. 2. By-law No. 5 dated July 6, 1960 to provide for the regulation of hawkers, pedlars, and others is hereby repealed. This by-law is hereby made at a duly convened meeting of the Council of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte Band this 18th day of December, 1995. being the majority of those members of the Council of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte First Nation present at the aforesaid meeting of the Council. The quorum of the Council is three members. Number of members of the Council present at the meeting: five. Proof of Compliance with Section 82(1) I, R. Donald Maracle, Chief of Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte First Nation, do hereby certify that a true copy, of the foregoing by-law was mailed to the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development at the Southern District offices pursuant to subsection 82 (1) of the Indian Act this 20th day of December, 1995.
