WABASEEMOONG INDEPENDENT NATIONS CURFEW BY-LAW B Y -L A W NO . 9 O F TH E W A B A S E E M O O N G IN D E P E N D EN T N A TIO N S A B Y -L A W R E G U LA TIN G C U R FE W O N T H E W A B A S E E M O O N G IN D EP EN D EN T N A TIO N S R E S E R V E 1. Th is B y-Law m ay be cited as "The Curfew By-Law". 2. This B y-Law is made pursuant to paragraphs (c), (d ), (q ) and (r) of the Indian Act. 3. Th e purpose of the By-Law is to provide for the regulation of the activities of boys and girls at the W abaseemoong Independent Nations Reserve, under 16 years of age in order to prevent misconduct and nuisance. 9 4. Th e Wabaseemoong Independent Nations Council hereby enacts the following as a By-Law : (a ) No boy or girt on a Reserve of Wabaseemoong Independent Nations under 16 years of age shall loiter in any place within the said Indian Reserve after % V' 11 o'clock in the evening until 6 o'clock in the morning. (b ) No boy or girl on a Reserve of Wabaseemoong Independent Nations under 15 years of age, shall be in any place of entertainment, street, lane within the said Reserve, or shall be in the course of returning from any place of entertainment off the said reserve after the hour of 10 o'clock in the evening unless accompanied by his/her parent or an adult accompanies such child, , except in the case of special events such as a pow-wow. etc.
2. © A boy or girl, or their parents, on a Reserve of Wabaseemoong independent Nations found violating the provisions of paragraph (a) or (b) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on a summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $100 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 30 days, or both fine and imprisonment. Voting in favour of the by-law are the following members of Council: Councillor Councillor being the majority of those members of the Council of the Wabaseemoong Independent Nations present at the aforesaid meeting of the Council. The quorum of the Council is _Jç>_ members. Number of members of foe Council present at foe meeting 7 .
