PAR LES PRÉSENTES: Band Council Resolution By-law No. 1997 - 1998 of the Grassy Narrows First Nation A By-law for the Regulation of Traffic WHEREAS the council of Grassy Narrows First Nation desires to make a by-law governing the regulation of traffic; AND WHEREAS the council of the Grassy Narrows First Nation is empowered to make such by-law pursuant to paragraphs 81. This by-law may be cited as the Grassy Narrows First Nation Traffic By-Law No._Q0J_____. Acs Limit 2. No person under the legal driving age (16), as set out in the Ontario Highway Traffic Act shall own 01 operate a motor vehicle on a reserve road. Rules of the Road 3. (1) A person shall not operate a vehicle on a reserve road (a) without due and attention; (b) without reasonable care and consideration for other persons on the reserve road; or (c) at a speed that is excessive relative to road, traffic, visibility and weather; conditions (d) when a person is under the influence of alcohol, drugs or solvents \ T \ V School Pu? g 4. (1) If a vehicle bearing the sign "SCHOOL BUS**displaying alternatively flashing red lights is stopped on any reserve road, of'onj^ny access road, the operator of a vehicle approaching the school bus from either direction on a reserve road shall stop before reaching the bus stop. (2) The operators of school buses and of vehicles in the vicinity of a stopped school bus shall comply with Ontario Highway Traffic Act respecting the operation of school buses and vehicles in the vicinity of school buses.

PAR LES PRÉSENTES: Band Council Resolution Enforcement 5. (1) The local detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police shall be required to enforce this by-law. (2) The Grassy Narrows First Nation Peacekeepers also has the power to enforce this by law. Offence 6.(1) A person who contravenes, or who otherwise fails to comply with any provision of this by-law, commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction; (2) All infractions of this by-law shall be heard by the Tribunal that is established in Grassy Narrows First Nation Territoiy. Tribunal ..*’*■ * 7, (1) The Tribunal is consisted of members'jjf.^vcommunity of Grassy Narrows First Nation. (2) The Tribunal has the authority to penalize any person who contravenes any by-law of the Grassy Narrows First Nation.
