EAGLE LAKE BAND BY-LAW NO. 3-84 (1) This By-law may be cited as The Firearms By-law. (2) This By-law is made pursuant to paragraph (c), (d) and (r) of section 81 of the Indian Act. (3) Ihe purpose of this by-law is to provide for the regulation of the carrying and discharge of firearms, B.B. guns and pellet guns upon a Reserve of Eagle Lake Band, or any of the Reserves, or any part or parts thereof, in order to ensure the safety and well-being of the inhabitants. (4) The Eagle lake Band Council hereby enacts the following as a by-law; (1) No intoxicated person shall, within the boundaries of a Reserve of the Eagle lake Band, carry or attempt to carry or discharge or attanpt to discharge a firearm, B.B. gun or pellet gun. (2) No person shall carry, discharge, or have in his possession a firearm, B.B. gun, or pellet gun within a Reserve of Eagle Lake Band unless it is unloaded and encased, between one-half hour after sunset and one-half hour before sunrise of ary day. (5) Violators of this By-law shall be guilty of an offense and shall be liable on Summary Cbnviction to a fine not exceeding $100.00 . or to imprisonment not exceeding 30 days or to both fine and imprisonment. (6) This By-law was approved and passed at a meeting or the Band Council on June 14, 1984.
