<,oR J'7U COUNCIL FOR CURVE LAKE INDIAN BAND a iL BY-LAW NUMBER 1976-4 A By-law designating terms of Employment for the Curve Lake Band Constables. The Council for the Curve Lake Indian Band enacts as follows:— 1. It is the duty of the Band Constables to perfora all duties that are assigned to them in regulations with preservation of peace, prevention of crime, and enforce the law on Curve Lake Reserve. 2. The Band Constables shall report from time to time to the Police Committee as required by them. 3. The Band Constables are prohibited from consuming or purchasing alcoholic beverages while on duty. h . Band Constables shall at all times conduct themselves in a manner that'will not bring discredit to himself, herself or fellow members of the Curve Lake Reserve. 5. Band Constables are permitted to exceed speed limit as long as it is where law requires them to do so. 6. Band Constables shall maintain their uniform and all other equipment in presentable manner, at all times. 7. That Band Constables shall have their hair cut, and shall always appear clean and veil groomed. They shall be properly shaved, except that a neatly trimmed moustache may be allowed, the hair of the head shall be kept short and well trimmed side bums extending no further down that the upper portion on the auditory opening of the ear shall be permitted. 8. Band Constables shall carry their identification badge with, them at all times. 9. The security of all fire arms issued to Band Constables shall be each members, responsibility and shall keep it clean and mechanically fit at al 1 times. 10. Band Constables shall attend recruit courses, general police training at Ontario Police College in Aylmer Police training, fire arm training, crowd control training, and any other courses as recommended by the police training committee. 11. All documents, radio, telephone and other messages shall be treated as confidential by Band Constable. 12. All motor vehicle and other equipment issued to the band shall be the responsibility of the assign member and shall not let unauthorized person operate the motor vehicle or any other equipment. 13. Discliplinary action for the breaking of these rules will be determined by the Police Commission. ENACTED AND PASSED THIS NINTH DAY OF AUGUST 1976.
