NOW THEREFORE: The Council of the Wauzhnshk Onigum Nation hereby makes the following by-law. S b q ll l t te 1. This by-law may be d ied as the "Tittering Control By-Law”. Interpretation 2. In this By-law, ‘"Band means Wauzhushk Onigum Nation; Council means the Council of the Wauzhushk Onigum Nation; Litter includes but is not limited to garbage, landfill, scraps of all kinds and any combination of thereof, left or

Enforcement 4. of the Band may abandon litter on the Reserve only in a place, receptacle or by the Council for receiving such litter. Penalty 5. Every who fails or refuses to ocahply with a provision of this by-law commits an offence. General 6. A person who commits and offence under this by-law is liable cm summary conviction to a fine not exceeding SI,000.00 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding thirty (30) days, or both. 7. Should a court detam ine that a provision o f this by-law is invalid for any reason, the provision shall be severed from the by-law and the validity of the rest of the by-law shall not be affected. 8. This by-law comes into force 40 days after the date of mailing to the M inister of Indian and Northern Development as Squired pursuant to section 82 of the Indian A ct 9. The provisions of this by-law apply to all lands of the Reserve of the Wauzhushk Onigum Nation. 10. This by-law is subject to the Indian Reserve Wastc Disposal Regulations, C.R.C. 1978, c. 960. Voting in favour of the by-law are the following members of Council being the majority of those members of the Council o f the Wauzhushk Onigum Nation present at the aforesaid meeting of the Council. The quorum of the Council is three (3) members. Number of members of the Council present a t the meeting: Four (4) I, Chief Steve Skead of the Wauzhushk Onigum Nation, do hereby certify that a true copy of the forgoing by-law was mailed to the Minster o f Indian Affairs and Northern Development pursuant to the subsection 82 (1 ) of the Indian Act this Friday o f December 22nd, 2000.
