By-law #1991.5 of the Poplar River First Nation respecting Amendment to Intoxicant By-law. a n WHEREAS the Council of the Poplar River First Nation desires to establish a By-law to amend a By-law dated September 4, 1985 respecting intoxicants. WHEREAS the Council of the Poplar River First Nation is empowered to make a By-law governing the regulation of intoxicants on the reserve, pursuant to paragraphs 85.1(1) (b) of the Indian Act. . Now therefore the Council of the Poplar River First Nation hereby enacts as a By-law thereof as follows: (i) By-law dated September 4, 1985 respecting intoxicants be amended so to be titled "By-law #1985.1 respecting Intoxicants". Be it known that this By-law entitled "Amendment to Intoxicant By law" is hereby enacted as By-law #1991.5 by the Council of the Poplar River First Nation of Indians as assented to by a majority of the electors of the Poplar River First Nation who voted at a special meeting of the Poplar River First Nation on called by the Poplar River First Nation Council for the purpose of considering the By-law thereof. (witness) being the majority of those members of the Council of the Poplar River First Nation of Indians present at the aforesaid meeting of the Council. A quorum of the Poplar River First Nation Council is set at 5 members.
