BAND COUNCIL RESOLUT RÉSOLUTION DE CONSEIL DE BANDE inac NOTE: The words “ From our Band Funds” must appear in all re NOTA: Les mots “ des fonds de notre bande** doivent paraître dan bandes THE COUNCIL OF THE POPLAR Ri^ iIQba&d09 LE CONSEIL DE LA DA N DE INDIENNE AGENCY AGENCE MANITOBA REGION p r o v i n c e MANITOBA PLACE NOM DE L*ENDROl " POPLAR RIVER BAND OFFICE 04 09 DATE AD 19 MONTH - M O IS DO HEREBY RESOI VE DECIDE , PAR LES PRESENTES: A By-Taw to regulate intoxicants of the reserve of the Poplar River Band: WHEREAS, the Indian Act provides in subsection 85.1(1) subject to subsection (2), the council of a Band may make by-laws: (a) prohibiting the sale, barter, supply .or manufacture of intoxicants on the Reserve of the Band (b) prohibiting any person from having intoxicants on the Reserve of the Band (c) prohibiting any person from having•intoxicants in his possession on the Reserve, and, (d) providing for exception for any of the pro hibitions established pursuant to paragraph (b) or (c) . 'ENTES: and WHEREAS, it is deemed to be expedient for the welfare of the inhabitants of the Reserve of the Poplar River Band of Indians to regulate matters relating to intoxicants on the Reserve, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Council of the Poplar River Band of Indians enacts the following as their By-laws: No person shall sell, barter, supply or manufac ture intoxicants on the Reserve of the Poplar River Indian Band, No person shall have any intoxicants on the Reserve of the Poplar River Band, No person shall have in his possession, any in toxicants on the Reserve of the Poplar River Band. Assented to by a majority of the electors of the Band who voted at a special meeting of the Band on September 4, 1985 called by the Band Council for the purpose of considering these By-laws.
