By-Law No. 2014.04 RESPECTING By Law No. 5 Respecting Curfew The Millbrook Band WHEREAS section 81, paragraphs (a), (c),(d), (q) and (r), of the empower the Council of a Band of Indians to pass by-laws to provide for the health of residents on the reserve, the observance of Law and order, the prevention of nuisances, matters arising out of or ancillary to the exercise of powers under this section, and the imposition of a penalty for the violation of any such by-law; WHEREAS the Council of the Millbrook Band did enact By-law No. 5 establishing a curfew for all school children under the age of the 16 on the 30th day of November, 1970; AND WHEREAS the said Council is of the opinion that such a by-law is not required at this time; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Millbrook Band enacts as a by-law thereof the following: 1. By-Law No. 5, enacted on the 30th day of November, 1970 and being a Curfew By-Law, be and the same is hereby repealed. Approved and passed at a duly convened meeting of the Millbrook Band Council, this 12th day of May, 2014.
